I, personally, Would think it Splendid
If We treated Psychiatric Institutions
As Learning Institutions
Learn the Clients
Strong Points
And Settle them
Into Paid
Employment
Whereby these
People
Will Have 
Financial Independence
And FREEDOM 
from
Stigma
We Owe it to
Our Disabled
To treat Them
All
As Equals
Rather than
Disdain and Shun
Them
That is my
Simple Request
Let Us
Turn the Tide
And Reassure
Our Young
That there are
No Chasms
To Get Lost
Into
Psychiatric Patients
Are often
Forced Off
Into the Black Hole
We Owe it
To Our Children
And Our Children's Children
I Celebrate
That in the Future
We will
Save the Souls
Of those that
Come after Us
By Keeping them
Along Side as Comrades
In the Battle between
Life and Death
I wish I was that
Simple Soul
That Played the Piano Well
And wanted Only
Children
I am Proud
to Live
In New Zealand
But if We Care
About the Mentally Unwell
And We will Reassure them
And Offer them
Opportunity
to Participate
In the Workforce

Nine Year Old Children
Can pick it And Judge You
Accordingly
Please Protect
By Law
Those with Mental Illness
In instances of On going Abuse
Because they are Mental
Is Intolerable and Cruel
As a Society
We must stand by
Our Fellow Psychiatric Patients
As if they were Casualties of War
Don't Simply Stand By
On High Horses
In Judgement
Psychiatry really has to put it's Brakes On
Find the strengths of the Individual
And Employ them as a Society
Before We Experiment on
Fellow Human Beings
We must offer them Hope
Not Cast them Out
As if they were
Dregs from the Tea
My Life has been One Long
Black Cloud
I have been CONDEMNED
Even by My Psychiatrists
My Wish
My Plea
My Blessing
Is PLEASE
Show Us a World where
We Shielded Our Kith and Kin
We would have Heaven on Earth
